New Development Plan:

Under the 2006 planning reforms, Local Authorities are required to produce a new kind of Development Plan. In South Lanarkshire, this will consist of a local development plan for the area that will replace the local plan and a strategic development plan. This will cover all 8 councils in the region including Inverclyde, Glasgow City, East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, South Lanarkshire and North Lanarkshire called Glasgow & the Clyde Valley Strategic Development Plan.

Development Plan Schemes are published annually, showing the progress made towards approving Strategic Development Plans, adopting a Local Development Plan and key dates for community engagement.
