New Development Plan:
Under the 2006 planning reforms, Local Authorities are required to produce a new kind of Development Plan. In Glasgow, this will consist of a Local Development Plan for the area, and a strategic development plan. This will cover all 8 councils in the region including Inverclyde, Glasgow City, East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, South Lanarkshire and North Lanarkshire called Glasgow & the Clyde Valley Strategic Development Plan.
