New Development Plan:
Under the 2006 planning reforms, Local Authorities are required to produce a new kind of Development Plan. In Aberdeen, this will consist of a Local Development Plan (LDP) for Aberdeen city, and a Strategic Development Plan (SDP) called “Aberdeen City and Shire Strategic Development Plan”. The SDP will cover the administrative areas of Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire councils (but does not include the part of Aberdeenshire in the Cairngorms National Park).
Development Plan Schemes:
Development Plan Schemes are published annually, showing the progress made towards adopting a Local Development Plan and Strategic Development Plan and key dates for community engagement.
